Privacy Policy  

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Film Company Ltd. ("Fox") are companies within the worldwide film studio, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation ("Twentieth Century Fox"), which carry on the business of distributing in your country movies and TV product via cinemas, and on video and DVD. The movies and TV product Fox distribute is produced primarily by Twentieth Century Fox but also by other entities such as Pathe and MGM.  Twentieth Century Fox itself is ultimately owned by News Corporation and within that large group of companies are many wide-ranging businesses such as newspapers and TV stations. Fox set out in this Privacy Policy how we collect, use and share personally identifiable information (“PII” -- that is, information such as your full name, email address, mailing address or telephone number) we obtain from and about individuals through this website and from sms or other media.  By using this website you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

From time to time Fox may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, technology or industry initiatives.  Therefore, you should review it periodically so that you are up to date on our most current policies and practices.

COLLECTION:  COLLECTION OF PII BY FOX

General.  Fox collect PII only in order to create or enhance our relationship with you.  When we collect PII from you it is because you are voluntarily submitting the information to us in order to participate in activities like competitions, contests, games, surveys, forums, subscription registrations, content or suggestions you submit to us, chats or bulletin boards, or because you want us to furnish you with products, services or information.  On those occasions when we obtain PII from a third party, we use only reputable sources of such information.

Cookies.   Cookies are small bits of information that the Internet sites operated by Fox may place on the hard drive of your computer.  Cookies remember information about your activities on our site(s) and enable Fox to make your visits to our site(s) more enjoyable.  For example, cookies can store your password for easy logon to a site you have previously visited or can save your preferences for a personalized home page.  The cookie itself does not contain PII.

Third party advertisements displayed on Internet site(s) operated by Fox may also contain cookies.  Fox do not control these advertiser cookies and visitors to our website(s) should check the privacy policy of the advertiser to see whether and how it uses cookies.

On occasion, Fox may use cookies to relate your use of our website(s) to PII you have submitted to us.  For example, if you’ve asked us to send you information about our upcoming products or promotions, cookie information may allow us to limit the materials we send you to items we know you will find interesting, based on your prior online activities and preferences.  However, if Fox wishes to coordinate personal and cookie information in this manner, we will obtain your express prior consent (i.e., “opt in”).

When Fox collect PII from you, we will make sure you are informed about who is collecting the information, how and why the information is being collected and the types of uses Fox will make of the information. 

This Policy describes the types of other companies that may want to send you information about their products and services and therefore want to share your personal information (See “Use” below).  At the time your PII is collected, Fox will notify you of your options regarding our use of your personally identifiable information, including whether we can share it with outside companies (See “Choice” below).

Fox’s website(s) may be linked to Internet sites operated by other companies.  Some of these third party sites may be co-branded with a Fox logo, even though they are not operated or maintained by Fox.   Fox’s website(s) may also carry advertisements from other companies as well as advertisements placed by Internet ad agencies.  Although we choose our business partners and advertisers carefully, Fox is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties that are linked to our site(s) or for the privacy practices of third party Internet ad agencies or advertisers.  Once you’ve left a Fox site via such a link or by clicking on an advertisement, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party or advertiser site to determine how they will handle any PII they collect from you.

Fox’s website(s) may also be linked to sites operated by companies affiliated with Fox (see "Use" below).  Visitors to those affiliated sites should read their separate privacy policies and practices, which may differ in some respects from this Policy.

CHOICE:   FOX WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH CHOICES ABOUT THE USE OF YOUR PII

Fox will provide you with the opportunity to choose whether your PII may be used for purposes different from the purpose for which it was submitted.  You will also be able to choose whether your information is shared with companies that are not affiliated with Fox.

USE:  FOX’S USE OF PII

Fox will use your PII in a manner that is consistent with this Policy and only for the purpose for which it is submitted, unless other uses are disclosed at the time of collection and you allow us to use your information in these other ways.  Fox will use your PII to send you information on selected promotions and events tailored to your interests. For example, we may send you email newsletters, product announcements and website updates, information on local celebrity events or premieres, or invite you to screenings, or to enter into competitions or participate in research surveys, or if you have entered a competition, to inform you about the prize(s) that you have won.     

We are part of the News Corporation group of companies and are owned by companies based in the United States.  In order to properly manage the information you give to us, we will be transferring your information for storage and processing purposes to servers located in the United States. We will, however, ensure that security of your PII is maintained in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Those entities which are part of News Corporation are affiliated with us and Fox may share your PII with these, including those outside the EEA.  Fox may also share your PII with companies that are not affiliated with us, again including companies outside the EEA. We will ask you if you would like to receive information about Fox's, and our affiliate companies, products and services. We will separately ask if you would like to receive it from carefully selected third parties.  Having decided to receive this information you will always have the opportunity to instruct us in future if you no longer wish to receive it.

Fox employees, agents and contractors must have a legitimate business reason to obtain access to your PII.  Outside contractors or agents who help us manage our information activities (i.e., competitions administration, order fulfillment, statistical analyses) may only use PII to provide Fox with a specific service and not for any other purpose.

Unless otherwise agreed with you, if Fox obtain PII from a third party, such as a business partner, our use of this information is governed by this Policy.

Fox may be required to disclose PII to comply with legal requirements, such as a court order, and to protect the safety and security of visitors to our websites.

SECURITY:  FOX PROTECTS THE SECURITY OF PII

Fox use reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard PII in its possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.  In addition, Fox use reasonable methods to make sure that PII is accurate, up-to-date and appropriately complete.

Unless otherwise indicated by Fox, your usual operator rates apply to all email, sms or other communications.
